For any young professional, investing in yourself is essential for improving your skill set and expanding your career horizons.
However, for many people, finding the resources to make that possible is often a challenge. That’s why ACEL wants to help you. ACEL is excited to announce that applications for the 2019 microgrant are now open. Applications are currently available for up to $200 that can be reimbursed toward a workshop, seminar, conference, or another educational opportunity of an applicant’s choice.
Members have until Wednesday, May 1 to submit an application. On Tuesday, May 7, the ACEL Professional Development committee will review microgrant applications.
To be considered for a microgrant, applicants must demonstrate how the aid will enhance their abilities professionally to further their influence as a local leader in the community or to benefit ACEL as an organization. Former ACEL microgrant recipients have used it for payment toward festivals, educational courses, and even web design.
After using the grant, recipients will also be asked to share how the experience helped them by writing a blog post and by engaging in other requested activities to promote the microgrant program.
Eligible ACEL members may apply for the microgrant by completing the official application form. Related questions about the microgrant and the application process should be sent to Cheyenne Fulcher, the Professional Development committee chair, at cheyenne@acelfl.com.
Whether it’s personally, professionally, or for your community, ACEL’s microgrants offer support to emerging leaders who want to grow through education. There’s no need to wait -- apply today.
